Every single consumer product in France and Italy, now require, by law, additional information on packaging. Retailers cannot accept non-compliant products. Fines are substantial for those selling without compliance.

Buyerdock are partners with GS1 and are the first company to be signed off to deliver 2D barcodes automatically.

By adding products to Buyerdock, you will be able to download a fully compliant future proof 2D barcode. When scanned with a smartphone, an instant Web App will open presenting your product with its consumer, marketing and regulatory information.

    Buyerdock utilises Stripe for your annual payments.
  • 3.
    Complete compliance questions
    Complete the fields to create your product profile.
  • 4.
    Download your symbols
    Select your required file format and save to your desktop.
  • 5.
    Apply to your packaging
    Position the symbols on your product, make sure it is visible and easy to read.
  • 6.
    Keep updated
    If compliances change during your annual license period, all information will be updated automatically.

3 helpful tips

These suggestions below will help you on-board your products with ease:

  1. Be sure to check you are exporting to the countries that are covered in the current license.
  2. Check with your packaging designer which file formats are required for any artwork.
  3. As new legislation for other EU countries is required, keep an eye out on email for any action required to keep compliance levels high
We offer four payment bands, these accommodate businesses who have low to high SKU requirements. The fee is annual, covering all active recycle logo compliances in the calendar year from which you started paying.

FAQ's

See some answers to commonly asked questions regarding our license:

  1. How long does the license last?
    As long as you keep up with the subscription, the license covers your products for current and upcoming recycle logo regulations.
  2. What happens if we stop payments?
    Your account will be frozen with no further compliance updates added to your products, and no more ability to amend.
  3. Will license fees increase when other counties compliances are added?
    No, these will be added with no additional cost.

Buyerdock currently cover the French Triman recycle logo generation, the Italian recycle logo generation and article 13 circular economy text in France. The list below features what your license currently covers along with the countries that will be included in the future. On the table, change Spain release date to 2023

    Set-up your payment protocal
    Payment management via goCardless, insuring your 2D QR-codes are always active.
  • 6.
    Opt-in to the Web-app
    You are now live, your products are now ready to be scanned!

These suggestions below will help you on-board your products with ease:
  1. Use the simulator below to help you prepare the required content.
  2. To obtain a 2D QR-code you will require a GS1 GTIN, click on the link to select your country on GS1's website: https://www.gs1.org/standards/get-barcodes.
  3. Payments are taken by Direct Debit, this process takes several days to verify, please build this time into your on-boarding.

Our subscription model offers flexible terms whether you are a start-up, SME or large corporate.

Key features
  1. This model is suitable for businesses who have 1,000 SKU’s or less.
  2. Payments are taken via our partner, Go Cardless.
  3. Payments are made monthly, at the end of each calendar month.
  4. Payments are only charged to active 2D QR barcodes monthly.
  5. Each 2D QR barcode can be toggled on and off multiple times each a month and only get charged once.

  1. This model is suitable for businesses who have over 1,000 SKU’s.
  2. A fixed fee is agreed in advance. This fixed fee is based on a capped number of 2D QR barcodes per month/year.
  3. Payments are taken via our partner, Go Cardless.
  4. Invoices are upfront, choose between monthly or yearly payments.
  5. Your fixed fee is charged regardless of the number of activated 2D QR barcodes.
  6. Each 2D QR barcode can be toggled on and off multiple times without incurring any additional costs.
