Welcome to our new look site. We’ve been working non-stop this year and have totally revamped Buyerdock with help from our partners over at GS1 UK. Our entire website now reaches GS1 standards.
Firstly, to quickly explain GS1 – they are the only company in the world that issue new barcodes, this is important as this ensures data and standards behind barcodes are uniformed globally. Without GS1 barcodes, you cannot sell on Amazon, Google, Ebay or even TikTok.
Our joint focus now is the real problem that is being legal with packaging and ensuring you can keep selling globally. With that, we are proud to launch the 2D-QR rcode. The 2D-QR code is a way to serve product level data to a consumer or retailer – we say retailer, because it will also scan at a till like a normal barcode and be mandatory in 3-5 years.
Why is it important today rather than in 5 years time? Legislation. Our app covers off a lot of legislation required today. Scan any one of these 2D-QR codes (these are not just QR codes, they are barcodes built into a QR code)
If you see the middle tile, it shows recycling in France and Italy. This is mandatory, now. The fines are huge if you don’t have them on your product, in France, owners of the brand could spend 2 years in prison…it’s that important.
Feel free to add new products, edit existing products, and watch as your app is magically built in front of your eyes.
SHOUT about your sustainability story, tell your consumers how to use your product. Tell them EVERYTHING!
The best bit, we’ve revised our fees, and it is just £1 per 2D-QR code activated per month.
Please do let us know when you have built your app, we want to work with brands that have done a great job to be part of our global press releases in 2023.
